'Not All Classrooms Have Four Walls'

Robin Hood's Bay's cobbled streets, beach, rock pools and coastal environment provide the world's most natural outdoor classroom and curriculum to explore, discover and unwind. Used mostly by primary schools, The Old School House is also a great location for older students for practical curriculum linked, Duke of Edinburgh Award activities or revision groups. Whether it be rock pooling, fossil hunting, star gazing or cliff walking, Robin Hood's Bay has something all pupils and staff will benefit from. We can provide:

We offer accommodation and catering for school groups up to 36 on residential visits for 2-4 nights stays with optional, additional beach school based activities and other lessons covering the entire primary curriculum available. Single night stays may also be available. and the venue can be used for day visits for schools looking for non-residential educational visits and school trips.

2023 is now fully booked, with dates for 2024 filling up fast. Prices currently range from £37.50 (2-4 night stays) to £40 (1 night stays) per student per night with additional activities costing around £4 per pupil per session.
